The
masthead is also covered by the model as seen in the first poster which also
means that the brand is well established and that it is not just selling
because of the masthead but because of the contents. It is written in an up
standing font this contrary to what a normal women's fashion magazine will be
like normally it will have lower case letters and be in a more feminine font
this magazine has an upstanding font this is showing us that ‘FASHION’ is
breaking the mould and that it is setting a new trend for women’s magazines
everywhere. The masthead is in blue which connotes
ambition/modern/determination this is showing that the magazine is focused on
making it to the top and that it is modern which will make it more appealing to the modern types of audiences out there.
The cover lines are on both sides of the
magazine and they are the things that sell the magazine this is going to appeal to the audience because they will get an
inside to the magazine some of the sell lines are bigger than the name of the
model which is because she all over the front cover.
The background colour is white which
indicated that this magazine is aiming
to be flawless/perfect/sophisticated which is showing that this is a
magazine for the higher class people and that it is a highly sophisticated
magazine.
The buzz words on this magazine are in
red this is to help indicate that they
are one of the main selling points of the magazine and that they are one of the
things that are on the inside of the magazine.
The audience for this magazine are
wealthy woman who are interested in
fashion they have to be wealthy because this is an established magazine and you
need to be wealthy to buy it. The audience will be in band a-b because this is
for richer women. They will be a aspirer
because they seek status and they read this
for social interaction to talk about it later on. The secondary audience
for the magazine is males they are the secondary audience they are the
secondary audience because they will buy the magazine because of the way the
model is looking at them in a
flirtatious way and also because of the clothes she is wearing they are quite
reviling and that’s what the middle age man would want to see and because of
some of the sell lines on the bottom which say ‘would you want sex’ that is
something that would also attract the secondary audience.
The colour scheme for this magazine is
red/black/white this is showing sophistication and it shows again that the
magazine is for women that are I the higher class.
The main image is also of Miley Cyrus but
in this picture she looks a whole lot different to what she did in the first
one her clothes are more reviling and they focus more on her body shape showing
that she has grown and now is more appealing
because of her body image which is being used to sell this poster. Her
facial expression is direct and seems to be more flirtatious and teasing than
the other image. But the same as the other image her face and hair is
immaculate and you cant fault how she looks. She is wearing red lipstick
this is
to show that she has a fierce side and a rebellious side to her the
dress that she is wearing is inappropriate for the younger audiences this is
not so good for the magazine because
when Miley was younger she had a really
big fan base the magazine might be missing out on this because of the audience
for this specific magazine.
