The primary audience of the music video will be BC1/2, This is because they will be able to access the video on youtube and other platforms that may to be accessible to members of the lower and working classes, this will also be the audience for the video as the message of the video and song are universal any anyone from any background really can relate to loss and losing a loved one.
The primary audience will also be reformers and explorers. They are reformers as they will be really invested in the narrative of the video and through the investment in personal growth and a growing community they will enjoy the narrative of the video. The audience will also be explorers, as my artist is a new artist and she has a unique sound therefore explorers will be draw to her because she is a new artist and her sound is unique and not like someone they have heard before. However although this will be the main primary audience of the music video, the video can also attract mainstreamers as after the video gains more traction and becomes more popular it will resinate with the mainstreamers that will follow the trend of the new artist and support her music video along with her music.
The primary audience audience will be full/empty-nesters. As that will be most likely the family size of 30-40 year olds. The audience will be both females and males. My artist will also not just appeal to one sexual orientation due to the main couple in the video. In it never made explicitly clear what the relationship between them is, wether they are best friends or in a relationship, in that sense the audience is free to interperperate the story in any sense they want. Which will then again keep them coming back to the video, to see if their theories about the couple have any substantial evidence within the context of the video, generating buzz around the video and us the song which will raise the popularity of the song and my artist.

Artist and Song
Everyone has a genre that just speaks to them, whether be from your childhood or your past experiences. Growing up her parents she listened to R&B and soft rock. What her mum listened to around the house definitely influenced her and her music. Her music is really more of a mix of a number of different genres. Its R&B and its soul.
From the previous audience research that i have done, it shows that audiences in my target demographic listen mainly to rock, and pop as well as this, new fresh take on the R&B and soul music, so that it will be familiar enough to audience that they will listen to it. But it also stands out enough that it makes the song unique and it gives the audience the chance to watch it multiple times and be please with how refreshing the music is.
The song is targeting the audience as its lyrics are universal in the theme of loss that is presented. It is something the everyone can relate to wether that is something as simple as a loss of a friendship or a loss of a loved one. in that sense the song can relate to not only the audience of 30-40 year olds, but also many other people who will listen to the song would be interested and feel a connection into the music.
Although she is singing with a more 'classic' song, as soul is often associated with singers such as Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner. My artist brings it more to a 'modern' audience, but also taking inspiration from the greats who influence her work. She is trying to re-invent the genre of music to suit her as an artist which will appeal to a more 'mainstream' audience (as stated in the brief) as well as primarily the audience of 30-40 year olds (also mentioned in the brief) who will enjoy it beach of the nostalgia and the connection to their past they they will feel listening to the music.
And from pervious secondary research that i have done, it is evident to see that my target audiences (audience of 30-40 year olds) do not really seek new music in that point in their life, this makes my song perfect for them as it is similar enough to the music they used to listen to that they will enjoy it, yet it is also different because my artist is putting their own spin on it making sure that it is not repetitive music that my audience has heard before and will get bored of listening to. This will be a song and a music video that the audience will be hooked on, they will keep coming back to digest the video and to re-listen to the song.

Music Video
The beginning scenes before the music starts playing will be a montage of a funeral, in black and white ending with the singer putting down a photo next to a grave stone. This will link to the last scene in the music video which will be a shot of them taking said photo.
Then as the music begins, the first shot will be a close up of the singer playing the guitar to accompany the instrumental that the song begins with. The camera will then pan out from the close up to see the hole singer, her head being kept down the whole time.
Once the singing begins the audience are introduced to the singer and another female (Not explicitly saying what their relationship is so the audience can make it up themselves, that can suit it themselves. If they believe them to be a couple or just friends) hugging and saying hello to one another.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"Yeah

Accompanying these lyrics:
Looking at what you bare, know I let you have it
Every single piece, know I got what you need, so
Take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all, hey
Both of them having fun as the park, playing on the swings, and sliding down the slides.

Accompanying these lyrics:
"Yeah
Say you love me for life
I could do you so wrong and be right, still
You never made me sacrifice, yeahI could do you so wrong and be right, still
You know that you're my saviour, you're mine
Yeah, you're mine"
The video shifts back to the singer alone with her guitar singing along to the words, still sitting down in a chair, but now looking into the camera.
(Made up of a few different shots at different angles)
(Made up of a few different shots at different angles)
Accompanying these lyrics:
"I'm a victim of my pride, yeah yeah yeah
Put my foolish face aside, yeah yeah yeah
Somehow someway 'cause you love unconditionally, eh"
The video shifts focus back onto the pair as they go into an arcade, and the singer loses a game (of pool or bowling ?) to her companion and pretends to be upset but they end up resolving it and embrace into a hug.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"You take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all, hm
Take it all, take it all, take it all, you take it all"
The video turns to black and white again, and we see the singer distraught with blood on her hands on her knees on the floor.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"Looking at what you bare, know I let you have it
Every single piece, know I got what you need, so
You take it all, take it all, take it all, you take it all"
Again we revert to the original story line and now we have both people at a restaurant laughing and blowing straw wrappers onto one another.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"You never blame me
For all of my ways before I was tame
And you came in the picture, my bad if I hurt ya, hm"
The video turns back to the singer by herself with the guitar, but now she's beginning to stand up.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"I'm easy to love when I'm all good
Know I'm hard to trust when I'm fucked up, yeah
But somehow someway you love me unconditionally, so"
They are both getting ready to watch Back to the future (1980s reference for the older audience).
Accompanying these lyrics:
"You take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all, hm
Take it all, take it all, take it all, you take it all
Looking at what you bare, know I let you have it
Every single piece, know I got what you need, so
Take it all, take it all, take it all, you take it all"
Now reverting to black and white, first we see a shot of the singer holding her companions hand in hers, she gives her a piece of jewellery and her hand stops moving. Then we have the singer sitting on a bench, blank faced as she stares off into the distance trying to contemplate what has just happened to her companion. In her hand a piece of jewellery that belonged to her companion.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"In the words of a wise man, yeah
Don't know what you got 'til you lose somebody
Hold up while I work on this
I'll figure it out somehow someway for you"
Shot of both of them on the old fashioned phones, either a split screen or just simply switching from one of them to another.
Accompanying these lyrics:
"You be so good to me, even when I don't say sorry
You be so good to me, swear that I'll take it easy"
The video turns back to the singer by herself, now she disregarded the guitar and she standing up singing into the camera.
Accompanying these lyrics:
You take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all, eh
Take it all, take it all, take it all, you take it all, yeah
Singer standing in a black dress.
Looking at what you bare, know I let you have it
Every single piece, know I got what you need, so
Take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all, hey
Both of them having fun as the park, playing on the swings, and sliding down the slides.
Accompanying these lyrics: You take it all
Take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all
Take it all, all Take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all
The singer Performing the lyrics again.
Accompanying these lyrics:
Looking at what you bare, know I let you have it
Every single piece, know I got what you need, so
They take the photo that is in the original first shot of the music video.
Accompanying these lyrics:
Take it all, take it all, take it all, take it all, hm hm
The singer gets up and walks away from the grave, with a smile on her face remembering all the good times that they had together, just as the audience just witnessed it.

Initial Music Video Ideas
The narrative within the video will follow along the lines of a story of her and her best friend or significant other thought their relationship.
And then after a few scenes of that, the video will move forward towards the darker side of their relationship when they pass away.
They passed away due to knife crime or caner or due to a stroke. Then this becomes the campaign that she works hard to raise awareness for said condition. (As shown in the interview in the magazine and in some aspects of the music video).
After the scenes will move forward towards a church setting and how her faith helped her get through her loss.
It will also include many references to the 80s/90s e.g. The Madonna Vogue hand gestures, a scene of them watching a popular 80s movie (E.T, Top gun, Star Wars, Raiders of the lost Ark, Back to the future or Ghostbusters).

Star Text
Name:
- Talia Mai
She was inspired by her parents and their passion for music. Therefore pays homage to the 80s/90s music that she grew up on.
She grew up in London, and grew up on the legacy of other famous British musicians and bands such as the rolling stones, and the Beatles.
She is a R&B/Soul artist, but her main appeal is towards 30-49 year olds, although her music is universal and anyone can listen and relate to what she is singing about.
She is also influenced by religion (christianity) and wants her music to have a meaning rather than just, words sung by a person. She wants to connect to people on a more spiritual level and she wants them to emotionally connect to her lyrics.
